Almost free travel

This time I want to share with you some websites that will open your eyes for really cheap travels.

I am not going to write much this time, but if you need more info you can contact me. First one is COUCHSURFING, you can go anywhere in a world and not spend a penny for a hotel. There are millions of people who will let you use their home for free. This is perfect if you like meet new people and make new friends. Advantage is huge, because those people also willing to be your tour guides and will give you plenty of cool tips you will never find in tour books. Information from natives are priceless, so I hope you will enjoy it !

Another website is AIRBNB. This one allows to stay in a private room for much less than hotel room. There are many options from shared room to whole private apartments. You can always find something without breaking your bank account :)

One more website similar to one above is ROOMORAMA.

While you somewhere there on your trip driving your car you might want to save on gas CHEAP GAS, download free application on your phone, earn free gas and save a LOT !!!

One more thing is parking, you do not want to be a tourist trap victim and overpay to park your car. This website comes with free application PARKOPEDIA. It will help you find parking with detailed information.

Everglades National Park.

Everglades, my beloved Everglades it is truly amazing and beautiful, I can proudly say it is my favorite place in Florida. 
I would highly recommend to visit Everglades National Park to experience its beauty.

Many years ago when I was residing in Europe I was collecting posters, brochures, maps from National Parks, but Everglades got my interest in unique way...maybe due to fact I wanted to live in South Florida.

My dream came true :) and I was able to explore parts of Everglades on my own. Every time I go there I am even more amazed and appreciate not only its greatness, but importance to our climate.

Most of the people think that Everglades is a giant swamp filled with alligators, but it is not true. There is so much more than that.

This Park is actually slowly moving river called River of Grass.

About 10 years ago I was a tour guide and spent great deal of time on airboat, but something was missing from this typical tourist attraction. It was just a glimpse. To see the best you must go much deeper into the heart of this wonder and hear its heartbeat. Everglades National park has few entrances.One of them is Shark Valley.

You can start from Florida City and before you get in it is a good idea to stop at visitors center for more information and get a brochure with map. Admission fee is $10.00 per car and is good for a week. You will spend a day there so get some snacks, mosquito repellent and water !

Anhinga

First and most awesome stop is Anhinga Trail. It is also great idea to go back there after dark and hear Everglades, also stars in a sky are so bright !. Do not forget your flashlight to look for alligators, when you see pair of red spots in a water or glades those are eyes of gator...spooky right :)...but so awesome!!!

When you get to the end of road you reach Flamingo Visitor Center there are some additional things you can do there, for example : fishing, camping and kayaking in a fresh water or Gulf side.

The best time to visit is from November till May due to mosquitoes activity
